.NET-BroadcastEventWindow Application Error
Hi,
We are experiencing a problem with a windows forms control hosted in IE.
Everytime I close the IE window we get this error:
---------------------------
..NET-BroadcastEventWindow.2.0.0.0.218f99c.0: iexplore.exe - Application Error
---------------------------
The exception unknown software exception (0xc0020001) occurred in the
application at location 0x7c812a5b.
Click on OK to terminate the program
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------
We have developed the control with .net framework 2.0. We suppose that it
is related to threading. Anyway if you know another cause please share it.

RE: .NET-BroadcastEventWindow Application Error
Hi Fernik,
I searched this problem in the Internet. Some resources I found said this
problem is caused by the interoperation between managed and unmanaged code.
Could you tell me what the function of your WinForm control is and what the
control does internally?
It's really hard for me to address a problem if I don't have a sample that
could reproduce the problem on my side.
If possible, would you please create a simple sample project that could
just reproduce the problem and send it to me? To get my actual email
address, remove 'online' from my displayed email address.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!
Sincerely,
Linda Liu

most efficient resolution. The offering is not appropriate for situations

RE: .NET-BroadcastEventWindow Application Error
Hi Fernik,
I found a post that produces almost the same exception as your WinForm
control. A workaround is also provided in that post.
You may refer to it through the following link:

Hope this helps.
