Hi,

I have a .net running web app at www.someplace.com. on a shared
server.  I now need a testing site using the same codebase.  Is it
possible to run the same web app but off a subdomain?  i.e.
testsite.somplace.com?

If codebase is the same what would be different? You can point
testsite.somplace.com to the same directory where www.someplace.com is
located but it will make no difference.
