XP boot-up issue after installing Media Center Extender for XBOX 3
Hello... My brother recently installed the Media Center Extender to connect
his PC to his 360. From what he told me everything was working fine. They
could get content from the PC to the XBOX. The problem is when they shutdown
the computer and re-booted later in the day, it immediately boots to the
Windows Advanced Options Menu (I think you get here by holding down F8 when
you turn your computer on). They did not hit F8. They tried booting from
all the options available (Safe mode, last known good configuration etc...)
and every time it will start to load and gets to the Windows XP home edition
screen and the goes right back to the Windows Advanced Options Menu again.
They have unplugged the computer, disconnected everything and tried and tried
but get the same result every time. It will not completely load to the
desktop. They are unable to get any further than that. Is there any way to
get beyond the loading hang-up to the desktop to try and uninstall the
extender program (if that is the cause). The computer was working fine until
this was installed. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
